ALPINE, TX - Feeding off the momentum of their huge 78-73 win over Texas-Dallas on Saturday, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats were able to hit 11 three-pointers and grab 61 rebounds on their way to a 78-47 win over Sul Ross on Thursday night in Alpine, TX.

Despite an inspired effort from the Lobos, who lost to LC 121-34 on January 11
th, the Lady cats were still able to a 37-21 lead at halftime.

That lead was stretched out to 25 points when LC took a 49-24 lead on a
Skylar Chenevert layup at the 16:50 mark of the second half. The Lobos would get within 20 points of the Lady Cats just once more the rest of the way, as LC led by as much as 32.

Neka Jones led the way for LC with 17 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arc.
Kaci Willis was once again outstanding on the boards, as she grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and narrowly missed a double-double with eight points on 3-7 shooting.

Danisha Allison, who has been tremendous in the paint since returning from an injury, scored nine points and finished just behind Willis with 13 rebounds of her own.

The third straight win for LC moves their overall season record to 14-7 overall and 12-6 in ASC play. They currently sit in fourth place in the ASC standings, one half game ahead of traditional power Howard Payne (13-9 overall, 12-7 in ASC play). The Lady Cats will have an opportunity to extend that lead over Howard Payne when they travel to Brownwood, TX on Saturday to take on the Yellow Jackets in yet another critical conference matchup slated to begin at 1 p.m.
