LONGVIEW, TX - Facing a much improved LeTourneau team that was coming off of a 74-55 win over East Texas Baptist, the Louisiana College women's basketball team was able to overcome a 35-30 deficit at the half to take a big 75-70 win over the Yellow Jackets on the road in Longview, TX on Thursday night.

Facing a lineup that featured 6-foot-5 post player Kim Wallace, the Lady Cats had perhaps their toughest matchup of the young season.

With the Yellow Jackets taking the five point lead into the second half, Letourneau's Ashley Reed gave her team even more momentum with the first shot of the second half, as she hit a deep three-pointer to put LeTourneau up by eight.

That would be the Yellow Jackets largest lead of the game, but also the last time they seemed to be in control, as the Lady Cats mounted an impressive comeback the rest of the way out.

An 11-2 run by LC over the next two minutes was capped by a go-ahead three-pointer from senior guard Neka Jones off an assist from Keana Frank to give the Lady Cats a 41-40 lead at the 17:35 mark.

The Wildcats would stretch that lead out to 50-41 on a Keana Frank layup with 14:32 remaining in regulation.

The Jackets would show signs of life over the next six minutes, however, as a 14-6 run by LeTourneau put them within two at 57-55 with 8:50 left in the half.

After allowing the Jackets to get within one at 68-67 at the two minute mark, the Lady Cats would close the game out strong the rest of the way out to take the 75-70 win.

Senior forward Danisha Allison was dominant going up against the 6-foot-5 Wallace, as she turned in her best game of the season with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Louisiana College (5-0, 2-0 in ASC) will have a two week break before they take the court again on December 18th, as they will take their undefeated record into Belton, TX to take on Mary Hardin-Baylor at 5:30 p.m.
