Austin, TX - The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats closed out their final weekend of 2014 with a disappointing 73-67 loss to the Concordia Tornadoes on Saturday afternoon in Austin, TX.

The Lady Cats looked as if they were ready to shake the second half trouble that they found themselves in on Thursday night against Mary Hardin-Baylor, as LC started the first half out strong on the road against a tough Concordia team.

Sophomore Brianna Harris' jumper off a Latoya Evans assist at the 10:35 mark of the first half gave LC a 21-18 lead and some much-needed early momentum.

But three straight baskets by the Tornadoes, including back-to-back three-pointers from Emily Cullers and Camile Horman, over the next 70 seconds quickly gave Concordia a 26-21 and seized all the momentum that the Lady Cats had previously gained.

LC would not hold a lead the rest the way.

Concordia stretched that lead out to as much as 10 points at the 4:43 mark when they took a 36-26 advantage and went to the half leading 43-38.

The Tornadoes would control the rest of the game in the second half, as the Lady cats never got closer than three points during the final 20 minutes.

Senior center Danisha Allison led LC again with another strong double-double performance, finishing with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and three steals, all of which were team-highs for the Lady Cats.

Concordia had five players score in double figures, led by reserve player Isis Johnson, who finished with a game-high 17 points.

The two losses on the three day road trip dropped LC's overall record to 5-2 with a 2-2 mark in ASC play. The Lady Wildcats next game will be their first home game in the newly renovated H.O. West Fieldhouse on January 3rd against Hardin-Simmons at 1 p.m.
