Box Score
After a disappointing shooting night on Thursday against UT-Dallas, the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats bounced back in a big way, hitting 14 three-pointers on their way to a 88-77 victory over Hardin-Simmons on Saturday afternoon in Abilene, TX.

Despite holding a 45-38 lead at halftime, the game did come into question when the Cowgirls went on a 14-2 run in the second half to the game at 74 at the 4:35 mark of the second half.

But a 14-3 run to end the game would put the Lady Cats out on top to pull off the win and move their ASC record to 5-1 on the season.

The Lady Cats shot 45.6% (31-68) for the game and a staggering 58.3% (14-24) from beyond the three-point arc. LC also used 13 steals to outpace the Cowgirls 40-17 in points off of turnovers.

Karylon Thornton came off the bench to lead LC with 21 points, including a 6-7 shooting night from behind the three-point line. Fellow reserve guard Neka Jones scored 19 points, while Danisha Allison registered 18 points and a team-leading nine rebounds.

The Lady Wildcats (7-2 overall, 6-1 in ASC) will return to the H.O. West Fieldhouse on Thursday to take on perennial ASC power Howard Payne at 5:30 p.m.
