A solid first half from the UT-Tyler was too much for the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats to overcome, as they fell the Patriots 76-68 in Tyler, TX on Saturday afternoon.

The Patriots had a tremendous first half shooting the basketball, as they poured in 14 of their first 28 shots from the field, including a 5-8 performance from the beyond the arc to hold onto a 43-30 lead going into the half.

While the Lady Cats did go on to outscore UTT in the second half 38-33, it was not enough, as the Patriots came away with the 76-68 win in American Southwest Conference action.

Despite forcing 23 turnovers, foul trouble ended up costing LC, as the Lady Wildcats sent UTT to the line 31 times, with the Patriots knocking down 24 of those attempts compared to a 9-14 performance for Jason Tinsley's squad.

LC was led on the day by junior forward
Danisha Allison (11 points, seven rebounds) and freshman forward
Natosha Morvant (12 points, six rebounds).
UTT had four players in double figures, led by All-ASC forward Brittany King, who scored 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

LC, who moves to 10-4 on the year and 8-3 in ASC play, will return home to the H.O. West Fieldhouse on Thursday to take on LeTourneau in an ASC matchup scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.Â
