An excellent first half of shooting was enough to give the Lady Wildcats enough cushion to secure a 99-80 win over Mississippi College in American Southwest Conference action on Monday night in the H.O. West Fieldhouse.

LC came out of the gate fast, making 11 first half three-pointers on 26 attempts to give the Lady Cats a 59-39 lead going into halftime.

The Lady Wildcats would continue their rock solid play in the second half, as the closet the Choctaws would get in the final 20 minutes is when they trailed by 16 at the 4:33 mark when LC led 91-75.

LC dominated the points off of turnovers category, outscoring MC 34-13, while forcing 30 turnovers and coming up with 15 steals.

Karylon Thornton (17 points),
Neka Jones (15 points),
Natosha Morvant (14 points),
Skylar Chenevert (11 points), and
Baylie Butler (11 points) all scored in double figures for the Lady Wildcats, who made 14 three-pointers and shot 45.5% (35-77) from the field on the night.
