Game One Box Score vs. TLU
Game Two Box Score vs. UMHB
The Louisiana College Lady Wildcats' run in the 2013 ASC Softball Tournament come to an end Friday night after defeating Texas Lutheran 4-1 in their game and falling to Mary Hardin-Baylor in an elimination game 10-2.

LC won their first game in dramatic fashion, as they trailed 1-0 going into the top of the sixth inning against TLU. But the Lady Wildcats would score four runs on four hits to take a 4-1 lead and take the win.

Stephanie Jaeger led off the inning with a double left center, followed by a Meagan Pearson walk. Sandra Ouchley, who had a breakout performance at the plate during the tournament, would then rip an RBI double down the left field line. Courtney Ivey followed that with a single through the right side that scored Pearson and Ouchley. Emily Douglas then ripped yet another double to right center that scored Ivey and gave the Lady Wildcats the three run lead.

Freshman pitcher Madison Vige picked up the win, tossing two innings in relief of starter Leslie Eastham. Vige was nearly perfect, as she gave up no hits and no runs while walking just one.

LC found themselves in a close game for five innings against Mary Hardin-Baylor in their final contest of the tournament, trailing 4-2 after six innings.

But a six run seventh inning would prove to be too much for the Lady Wildcats as they saw their season end with a 10-2 loss to the Crusaders.

UMHB collected 14 hits in the game compared to just two for LC, but the difference came in the field, as four Lady Wildcats errors resulted in eight unearned runs for the Crusaders.

Freshman Nancy Bunting took the loss to move to 10-6, closing out a very nice freshman campaign for the Grant High School product.

LC finishes the season at 26-15.
