MARSHALL, TX - An outstanding second half shooting performance gave the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats the boost they needed on the way to a 78-63 win over American Southwest Conference rival East Texas Baptist on Thursday night in Marshall, TX.

After a 12-41 (29.3%) performance from the field in the first half left LC trailing 35-31 at halftime, the Lady Cats came out of the locker room on fire, shooting a blistering 51.4% 18-35) in the second half.

The Lady Wildcats' bench proved to be the difference in the critical ASC early season matchup, as LC's dominated, outscoring ETBU's reserves 29-7. LC junior
Skylar Chenevert led the Lady Wildcats' off the bench, going for 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals.

Neka Jones led LC in scoring with 18 points, which included four 3-pointers, and nine rebounds. Junior guard
Karylon Thornton and freshman forward
Natosha Morvant also reached double figures with 11 points and 10 points, respectively.
