An outstanding defensive effort highlighted a 65-47 non-conference win for the Louisiana College Lady Wildcats against Centenary on Monday night in Shreveport.

LC, who had been off since their 90-84 comeback win at home against Mary Hardin-Baylor on December 19
th, forced 35 turnovers and came up with 16 steals on their way to the 18 point victory.

Centenary was unable to find an answer for the Lady Wildcats' perimeter defense, as the Ladies went just 1-18 (5.6%) from beyond the arc and 15-68 (22.1%) from the field for the game.

Natosha Morvant has perhaps her finest game to date, as she scored nine points, grabbed a team-high 13 rebounds and came up with a team-high 5 five steals. Junior forward
Kaci Willis (11 points, nine rebounds) and junior point guard
Neka Jones (10 points, three assists) were the lone Lady Wildcats in double figures in the scoring column.

Centenary was led by a strong effort from forward Briana Edwards, who finished with 14 points and 19 rebounds. Haley Deshautelle was also outstanding on the glass, pulling down
18 rebounds.

With their final non-conference game behind them, LC now stands at 6-1 overall (4-0 in ASC play) and will face a tough stretch of games to begin the new year beginning with Texas-Dallas on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Dallas, TX.Â
