GOODMAN, Miss. – The Louisiana College Men's Tennis Team went 1-1 in last weekend's season opening dual matches. The Wildcats defeated Rust College and lost to Holmes Community College, in both cases with a final score of 8-1.
Versus Rust, LC started the match with a sweep of the doubles matches.
The tandem of
Nathan Boles and
Daniel Bembenick defeated Larry Aaron and Jonathan Joseph 8-1 while the pairings of
James Clayton and
Reyes Villanueva and Edwin Morales and
Conner Harlow each won by a count of 8-0.
In singles action Bembenick defeated Aaron 6-3 and 6-3, Boles and Clayton blanked their opponent 6-0 in straight sets, Harlow defeated Jeremy Griffith 6-1 and 6-1 and Morales defeated Randy Thompson 6-3 and 6-3.
In the Holmes match, only Harlow logged a win.
