AUSTIN, Texas - The Louisiana College baseball team fell 4-2 in its season opener, a road contest against Concordia.
Concordia scored the first three runs of the game, one apiece in the second, third and fourth innings, before the Wildcats scored a pair of runs in the fifth on an RBI double by
Cole Prejean and RBI single by
Taylor Beavers.
Concordia answered with a run in the bottom of the inning and held on for the win.
LC senior
Justin Reed, who pitched the first 2 2/3 innings and struck out two, took the loss.
The Wildcats return to action Saturday at 1 p.m. with a neutral site contest against No. 22 Trinity.
