SHREVEPORT, La. – The Louisiana College women remained undefeated in 2012 and won their fourth straight contest Saturday afternoon, downing Centenary 99-76.
LC (13-2) shot 42 percent from the field and forced 38 turnovers, 28 via the steal. Centenary (4-11) shot 43 percent from the field but managed to take just 66 shots compared to LC's 96.
Six Louisiana College women scored in double figures on the day.
Junior
Natosha Gottlieb (Alexandria, La./Bolton HS) followed her 30-point night versus East Texas Baptist on Thursday with a team-high 17 points to go along with eight rebound.
Freshman
Danisha Allison (Oakdale, La./Oakdale HS) scored 16 points and pulled nine rebounds and freshman
Kala Chenier (Bossier City, La./Calvary Baptist) 11.
Three other players – senior
Roslyn Wilmer (Marksville, La./Marksville HS) and freshmen Kean Frank (Elton, La./Kinder HS) and
Kaci Willis (Vinton, La./Starks HS) – scored 10 points apiece. Willis added 10 rebounds.
Centenary was lead on the day by a trio of players, each posting a double-double.
Jalena Sanders scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Vashni Sharp-Moore 13 points and 11 boards and Dio Warr 10 points and 13 rebounds. Megan Daniel scored 21 for Centenary.
Louisiana College returns to action Thursday with a home game against American Southwest Conference opponent Ozarks.
