Hendrix blanks Lady Cats

PINEVILLE, La. - Hendrix proved a tough challenge for the Louisiana College women Saturday afternoon in non-conference play. Guided by two goals from Rebecca Rahn, Hendrix down LC 6-0.

Louisiana College Freshman goalie Danielle Paulsen, making her first collegiate start due to an injury suffered by normal keeper Emily Breaux, performed well and made eight saves in 82 minutes of play. Fellow freshman Jessica Clawson played the final eight minutes of the contest and made a save.

Hendrix, however, found the back of the net six times, with Rahn scoring twice and Morgan Scott, Hannah McGrew and Bailey Ann Harper once apiece. LC also scored a late own goal.

Hendrix keeper Megan Childress faced four shots from LC, two on goal, but maintained a perfect sheet.

The LC women return to action Thursday at 5 p.m. It will be the conference opener for the Lady Cats as they play host to Ozarks.
