PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer team will be under new direction when the new season starts in less than a month as LCU Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Reni Mason has named AJ Ostrowski as the new head coach.
"I am honored and excited to join Louisiana Christian University as the head women's soccer coach," said the new LCU women's soccer head coach. "I am grateful to the administration for the opportunity to lead this program and become part of the Louisiana Christian community."
"What truly defines AJ is not only his desire to build a successful soccer program, but his unwavering faith, his deep love for his family, and his genuine commitment for making a lasting difference in the lives of young people," said Mason.
Ostrowski comes to LCU from Michigan Tech of NCAA Division II where he served as an assistant coach on the Huskies women's soccer team for the 2025 season.
As a head coach, Ostrowski has had plenty of success. On the high school level, he led the Barrington High girl's soccer team to back-to-back Illinois state championships in 2017 and 2018. He won the Midwest Suburban League Conference Championship with the Barrington girls both of those seasons as well while also winning that same title with the boys team in 2017.
He also served as head coach of the Chicago Nation FC of the United Premier Soccer League, leading the team to a second place finish in the league in 2021 and a third place finish in 2023.
He's also served as the men's junior varsity head coach at his alma mater, Carthage College, and set up a soccer camps run at LSU.
"I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our student-athletes," continued Ostrowski, "developing a culture of excellence, and helping our players grow both on and off the field. I am excited about the future of Louisiana Christian women's soccer and look forward to working alongside our student-athletes, staff, alumni, and supporters to build a program that represents the university with pride. I cannot wait to get started and begin this journey together. Go Wildcats!"
Ostrowski will lead the Wildcats on the field for the Orange & Blue Scrimmage on Aug. 15. The Wildcats open their 2026 season at Mobile against the Rams on Aug. 20.
