RICHARDSON, Texas – Louisiana College was unable to secure home field advantage in the first round of the American Southwest Conference here Friday, and will finish 2011 as the No. 3 team in the ASC East after losses of 1-0 and 6-0 to Texas Dallas in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Hardin-Simmons, Concordia and Texas Lutheran all have a chance to finish in that position and, with McMurry and Hardin-Simmons still with games to play over the weekend, the Wildcats won't know their official first-round destination until Saturday night.
LC defeated the Comets 6-2 Thursday thanks to solid defense and timely hitting. Friday, the Wildcat defense was there, but the offensive showing was among the worst of the year as LC managed a combined five hits on the day.
