PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana College baseball team remained perfect, 3-0, on the young season Tuesday with a 13-4 win over LSU Alexandria in what was the Generals' season opener.

The Wildcats blew the game open by scoring eight runs on three hits in the third inning highlighted by a three-RBI double by senior catcher Chris Waguespack that found its way to the left center-field wall.

Waguespack finished 2-for-3 with three RBI, but was not the only hot-handed Wildcat.

Cody Laprarie went 1-for-4 with two RBI, Steven Davis went 2-for-4 with RBI and a triple (the first triple of the season for LC), Anthony Benoit went 2-for-3 with three RBI and Adam Broussard went 1-2 with an RBI.

LSU Alexandria was paced by Tid Hilger (3-for-5 with an RBI) and Hunter Deselle (2-for-3 with two RBI).

LC senior Josh Foster (1-0) picked up the win pitching in relief of Greg Uzee, who made his return to the LC mound after one-year absence due to a shoulder injury. In his return, Uzee faced 11 batters, struck out two, walked one and allowed one hit.

Colton Knuckles took the loss for LSU Alexandria.

LC returns to action on Friday with a doubleheader against McKendree.
