NEW ORLEANS - The Lady Cats suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday night, falling 79-63 to Loyola in nonconference action.
Loyola (6-0) outscored Louisiana College (2-1) 43-27 in the first half and, although LC played the host team to a 36-36 tie in the second half, the Lady Cats' never recovered.
Twenty-five points by Jasmine Brewer, 24 by Keiva Council and 52 percent shooting from the field were the story for Loyola in the win.
LC was led by eight points apiece from
Roslyn Wilmer,
Kala Chenier and
Natosha Gottlieb.
Louisiana College returns to action this weekend with its American Southwest Conference opener, a road game against Schreiner.
