ALEXANDRIA, La. - It happens just once a year and never seems to disappoint. It's the DARE Game, Louisiana College's annual gift to the youth of Rapides Parish, many of whom will get a break from school to watch the Wildcats take on LSU-Shreveport at 11 a.m. Tuesday morning at historic Bringhurst Field, home of the Alexandria Aces.
Traditionally, the DARE Game brings LC baseball's largest crowd.
Last season, before a crowd of 2,006, the Wildcats defeated LSU-Alexandria 12-9 in an exciting game that featured a four-run last at-bat for LC.
This year,
Mike Byrnes' Louisiana College team will look to once again gain a DARE Game victory only this year it will be the LSU-Shreveport Pilots, the Wildcats' traditional DARE Game foe, that will visit Rapides Parish.
