Box Score
PINEVILLE, La. - On a night in which five Lady Wildcats hit double-figures scoring, it was senior Janet Butler who stood above the rest in Louisiana College's 98-58 blowout win over visiting American Southwest Conference foe Texas Lutheran.

Butler, a senior from Eros, La., and graduate of West Ouachita High School, spent most of her first three years at LC as a reserve, three-point specialist.

This year, she's been moved to a starting role and, Monday night, she drained six three-pointers and led all scorers with 22 points as LC (4-0, 2-0 ASC) flirted with the century mark against winless TLU (0-4, 0-2 ASC).

Her six three-pointers were two short of the school record for made three-pointers in a single-game, eight, set by Deborah Johnson against Southern Arkansas on Nov. 17, 1987.

Joining in the fun for the Lady Cats were four other double-figure scorers: sophomore forward Natosha Gottlieb (Alexandria, La./Bolton HS), senior forward Tillisha Givens (Monroe, La./Ouachita Parish HS), senior forward Kayla Guidry (Alexandria, La./Peabody HS/UTEP) and junior guard Roslyn Wilmer (Marksville, La./Marksville HS).

Gottlieb put up her second double-double of the young season scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

Givens was good for 15 points and six rebounds while Guidry scored 14 and Wilmer 13.

As has been the case most of the last two seasons, though, LC's offense was aided greatly by it's aggressive defense, one that produced 22 steals on the night.

Senior guard Briana Lewis (Monroe, La./West Monroe HS) and freshman forward Melody Criswell (Flower Mound, Texas/Flower Mound HS) provided four steals apiece to lead the Lady Cats in that category.

Two TLU players, Jennifer Munoz (14) and Jessica Galindo (10), reached double figures in scoring.

Next up for the Lady Cats will be a two-game road swing that will take the defense ASC Tournament Champions to Howard Payne on Thursday and Sul Ross State on Saturday.

LC will return home on Dec. 9 for a conference home game against Concordia at 5:30 p.m.
