Box Score
RICHARDSON, Texas - The Wildcats played a respectable game and even had a player log an impressive double-double, but the American Southwest Conference East Division's top team, Texas-Dallas, was beyond spectacular in a 94-66 win over LC.

While Louisiana College show 42.6 percent from the field, 38.5 percent from teh three-point line and 66.7 percent from the charity stripe, the Comets (ranked No. 22 in the nation) were good for 56.1 percent from the field, 50 percent from the three-point line and shot free throws at an 88.2 percent clip to outscore the Wildcats 47-30 in the first half and 47-36 in the second.

The LC loss, one which sent the Wildcats to 7-10 on the season and 5-8 in conference play, overshadowed the best performance of the year by sophomore post player Korey Salmon (Deville, La./Buckeye High).

The 6-foot-9 Salmon put up a 28-point, 12-rebound double-double, but was teh only Wildcat to reach double-figure scoring.

Sophomore guard JeLani Mitchell (St. Martinville, La./St. Martinville High) was the second-highest scorer for LC, putting up nine points and dishing out three assists.

The Comets, conversely, had little trouble finding offense, as four players reached double-figures in teh game.

Chris Barnes led the charge for Texas-Dallas with 22 points while Jared Fleming and Curtis Davis added 16 points apiece and Scott Rodgers 14 in the win.

The Wildcats, who now rest in sixth place in the ASC East, will return to action this Saturday afternoon with a visit to seventh-place Ozarks in Clarksville, Ark.
