NATCHITOCHES - The Lady Cats' s exhibition contest against Northwestern State didn't end in victory, but it did seem to provide evidence that Louisiana College, which fell 7 could hang with a larger program.
The Lady Cats were outscored 46-23 in the first half but rebounded in the econd and outperformed Northwestern to the tune of 42-29.
The Lady Cats got an amazing performance out of Christy Pantallion, who led all scorers with 22 points.
Tillisha Givens added 11 points and seven rebounds while Roslyn Wilmer chipped in 10 points and Voneshia Williams eight.
Northwestern State had four women score in double figures: Lyndzee greene (16 points, six rebounds), Brittany Houston (11 points, four assists), Anna Cate Williams (11 points) and Sherrion Thomas (10 points, six rebounds).
Louisiana College will begin its regular season on Nov. 19 at home against William & Carey. The game will tip at 6 p.m.
The LC men will start on Nov. 16 with a 7 p.m. visit to Louisiana-Lafayette.
