Softball Takes Lead In Seventh, #8 LSU Alexandria Wins It In Bottom Half

 
ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program looked to have finally broken its drought against ranked opponents when they moved ahead on a solo blast in the top of the seventh inning, but it was not to be as the eight-ranked Generals of LSUA answered back with two in the bottom of the frame to win, 4-3.

  • Addison Greak contributed a quality start, tossing 6.1 strong frames while allowing only three runs and striking out one.
 
  • Bella Houck kept both her on-base (13) and hitting streaks (9) alive, going 2-for-4 with an RBI-single.
 
  • Lexi Broussard got the visitors on the board, roping a double into the gap to score Mariel Medrano who had led off the third with a knock.
 
  • Bevan Hartnett joined Houck in the multi-hit club in the morning tilt, picking up both a single and a double over three at-bats.
