HOBBS, N.M. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program got quality showings from both of the Broussards, Lexi and Miah (no relation), but it was not enough for the visiting Wildcats to avoid the defeat, 2-1 at USW.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Miah Broussard was the woman on the rubber from start to finish, walking zero Mustangs in six full frames whereas she whiffed a trio of foes and yielding two runs over seven knocks.
- Lexi Broussard was a major disruption all day in the desert, collecting 2-of-5 Cats hits on top of the only RBI in 14 innings of softball, an RBI single that put Louisiana Christian ahead 1-0 in the top of the second, along with two steals.
- Mariel Medrano was also a menace to the Mustangs posting a similar stat line of two stolen bases, a 2-for-2 outing with the bat in her hands, and the singular run scored.
- Emma Hunt put a hit on the board as well as a swiping of second base and Carley Koch took a stroll down the first base line after four pitches outside the strike zone.
