SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program could not hold off another late charge from the Saints from San Antonio as the home squad took the series on a walk-off error, 5-4.

• Backstop Jake Messina clubbed an RBI-double down the right field line and singled as Nick Lorio was the other player with multiple knocks, going 2-for-4 with a free pass plus a score.

 

• Coleman Haltom transitioned from long relief specialist to starting pitcher for game two, doing enough to leave the game with a lead after hurling five quality innings that saw OLLU push across only one run on five hits and a walk, sitting down three on Ks.

 

• Adrian Aguilar was also the deliverer of a RBI two-bagger down the opposite line than Messina, Braden McLin doubled and touched the dish, while Braxton Cooksey (single, steal, hit-by-pitch) and Tyler McKenna (single and walk) also got on safely twice.
