PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University baseball program capitalized on seven errors by visiting Dillard University and opened up a five-run lead from the get-go to take firm control early in an 11-1, mercy-rule victory in seven.

  • Braxton Cooksey tallied the lone multi-hit contest for the Cats, going 2-for-3 with one of the club's two doubles and a pair of runs scored.
 
  • Gavin Vordick showed off his patience and ball-to-bat skills after a two-homer affair his last time out, driving an RBI-single into right field and also walking as well.
 
  • Jake Messina was the third student-athlete to reach base safely multiple times, also picking up a knock, a base on balls, and was hit by a pitch before being subbed out.
   
  • Tyler McKenna was the final man to reach twice, hitting a single and then getting hit himself.
 
  • Caleb Duhon crushed the team's second triple of 2025 and the first since the beginning of February, scoring Chris Kelley before touching the plate one batter later when Logan Bertucci sent everybody home early with a RBI "walk-off" single in the bottom of the seventh.
