PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program finally dented the scoreboard for the first time in nearly two full years against the reigning national champions of #9 Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday, but it was not enough as the Saints won their 64th consecutive conference game, 6-1 in game one.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Bevan Hartnett was the one to bring the run across with a bloop single back up the box, moving Lexi Broussard 90 feet to touch the plate with two down in the seventh after she had drew the only walk of the afternoon a few batters prior.
- Dauthier's seeing-eye single through the left side of the infield was one of the team's two knocks while also fighting off numerous softballs during a tedious ten-pitch at-bat.
- Miah Broussard held the high-scoring Saints to two runs shy of their season average coming into the doubleheader (8.1), ceding six runs with just four earned.
Next:
- Game two against the champs should take place shortly on this surprisingly beautiful day in CenLa.
