PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program gave up five runs in the second inning and was able to muster only five base runners as the Cats fell to the ninth-ranked OLLU Saints by a 7-0 margin.

• Emma Hunt was the majority of the offense in game two, drawing a leadoff walk to immediately squash any thoughts of a perfect game before collecting a single in the sixth.

 

• Mariel Medrano had the solo extra-base hit for LCU in their 14 innings of play, poking a double down the line that snuck under the diving glove of the left fielder.

 

• Isabella Battaglia had the third and final knock for Coach Roberts while Bella Houck coaxed four balls to begin the seventh in hopes of a rally that never materialized.

 

• Brooke Ross battled through a complete game that saw her record her first loss of the campaign, striking out four Saints over 125 pitches.
