Wildcats Top Performers:

  • Coleman Haltom put forth the night of his life on his way to registering win number two as a Cat, firing a tied for personal-best five innings and a career-high seven strikeouts with just four hits plus a walk ceded.

  • The other half of the bullpen's big night came off the arm of Colton Williams, collecting his second career save via two nearly flawless frames that saw only one hit tallied and a punchout.

  • Brady Huffman had a rarely seen stat line in which the redshirt freshman walked three times, drove in an additional three RBIs, two of those ribbies coming on his one hit (a single), and a pair of steals.

  • Harrison Waxley is starting to catch fire again, strengthening his case for back-to-back RRAC Player of the Week honors during an evening where he went 2-for-4 with two free passes, an RBI, and scored twice.

  • Logan Bertucci was the third player to reach safely at least thrice in the Big Easy, doubling for his lone knock on top of two bases on balls.

  • The fourth and final student-athlete to make it on the base paths on three-plus occasions was Braxton Cooksey, joining Waxley as the other multi-hit performer (2-of-4) to go along with a hit-by-pitch.
