Wildcats Top Performers:

  • Lexi Broussard came back with a vengeance after a forgettable opener in the field, notching the first three legs of the cycle by collecting a single, double, and triple in four plate appearances, driving in the winning run with her two-bagger in the seventh and stealing a base on top of scoring twice as a runner.

  • Freshman Samantha Hill made an eye-opening collegiate debut, pitching 2.1 hitless frames with one K and exiting the circle in line for the victory before Xavier tied it back up.

                        * She also made an impact in the box, coaxing a pair of free passes and scoring as a batter.

  • Jordan Dauthier followed in Carley Koch's footsteps, mirroring the game one result with a bases-clearing double during the nine-run second, pulling LCU within one (7-6).

  • Bevan Hartnett cobbled together a 3-for-4 nightcap, coming around to score two runs and bringing home another.

  • Both Koch and Mariel Medrano singled as well as walked, the former lofting a sacrifice fly and the latter swiping a pillow (base), combining to cross the dish three times between them.

  • Miah Broussard won her third game of the week to up her record to 4-2 on the season, finishing out the day with four relief innings without a walk, sitting down two Gold Nuggets on strikes and giving up a mere two runs.
