• Trip Flotte pitched well in his tenth career start, going four strong as he surrendered just two runs and striking out the most batters since his freshman campaign (2022) with six.

 

• Colton Williams followed Flotte in relief and kept the Wildcats in the ballgame by getting a half-dozen outs without giving up a score, punching out a pair without a free pass.

 

• Harrison Waxley logged the lone extra-base hit in the opening 14 frames of the 2025 Cajun Collision for LCU, lacing a double in the bottom of the second before being left stranded.

 

• Braden McLin had the other base knock of the nightcap with a seeing-eye single while Brady Huffman (pinch-hitter) and Jake Messina drew walks.
