PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program stormed out to a commanding 19-point lead (54-35), watched the Steers nearly charge all the way back by using a 28-6 run to make it a three-point game with 6:50 left (63-60), then finally pulled back away towards the final buzzer as the Wildcats finished its home schedule with an 85-72 win.
The guys went 7-3 (.700) in games played at
H.O. West Fieldhouse this year, its first winning record at home since going 8-6 in 2021-22.
LCU tied its season-high for single-game blocks with seven swats and the game devolved into a fouling frenzy as 54 personal fouls were called between the two sides.
With its 13th RRAC victory, the Cats secured a winning record in league play for the first time in three years and has earned its most victories during conference action since snagging 14 in Gene Rushing's final season back in 2014-15.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- On a night when his senior teammates were honored prior to tip-off, junior Bryce Weinmunson stole the spotlight, going nuclear on Texas College's defense to the tune of a season-best 28 points (ten higher than his previous mark), eight field goals (8-of-16, 50%), seven free throws (7-of-8, 87.5%), and five three-pointers (5-of-7, 71.4%) while swiping a contest-best four steals in addition to playing all but a few seconds on the evening.
- Jon'Quarius McGhee was the standout senior performer, tying his career-most of five assists (topped the team) and went for season-highs regarding both steals (3) as well as free throws (4-for-4).
- Drew Tebbe had a hot hand from long range, nailing a career-high four three-pointers over six tries (66.7%) including a campaign-best 33 minutes of game time and his second career blocked shot.
- Devin Carter provided his season average scoring output of 19 points, doing so by going a perfect 7-for-7 at the charity stripe on top of a personal-high in rebounds at eight (game-high) plus four dimes, two steals, and a rejection.
