HOBBS, N.M. – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program paired a campaign-best seven three-pointers and 86.7 free throw percentage with a season-low seven personal fouls to clinch a berth in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament for the fourth year in-a-row after surviving a seesaw battle in the desert, 82-80 over the Mustangs.
Thursday evening was one of the best shooting nights of 2024-25, nearly hitting on half of its shot attempts (31-of-63, 49.2%) while making ten percent more than USW did (31-for-79, 39.2%).
With the triumph, Head Coach Anna Phillips moved into a tie for eighth on the school's all-time wins list, pulling even with her predecessor Matt LeBato (2018-22) at 37 apiece.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Breyionce George made a lasting impact off the bench in this one, draining a personal-best six buckets on seven tries (85.7%) including her first multi-trey showing for a critical 15 points in only 14 minutes.
- McKayla Price stepped up to knock down a season-most eight free throws and three assists while spending a career-high 32 minutes on the floor, rewarding Coach Phillips with a Wildcat-leading 16 points.
- DaKayla Howard was the surprise leader of the rebounding pack, recording a game-best nine boards on top of eight points and Kylei Leblanc matched Howard's point total in addition to swatting two of the Cats' three blocks.
- Kaitlyn Antilley joined her teammate (Price) in playing the most minutes of her career (34), dropping season-highs of both nine points and three field goals, all of those coming from downtown.
- The duo of Jakiya Thompson and Deja Tanks put together 14 points and 11 rebounds between the two with the former dropping a LCU-most five dimes whereas the latter was a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe.
