Turnovers Prove Troublesome Against (RV) LSU Shreveport

 
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program needed to play as close to a perfect game as possible to take down the (RV) Pilots but were ultimately hampered by unforced errors in a 69-49 setback.
 
The offense struggled to find its footing, shooting just 29..5% from the court, 22.2% on deep balls, and 61.1% at the line.

  • Princis Goff was the top scorer of the afternoon with 18 points, converting on 7-of-15 (46.7%) shots, tied for the game's most steals at a season-high five, and finished second only to Kylei Leblanc (10) for rebounds by registering eight.
 
  • Kaitlyn Antilley swiped her way to a new career-best on defense, snagging a trio of steals plus a pair of assists.
 
  • McKayla Price logged 11 points to go along with a half-dozen boards as the other of Head Coach Anna Phillips' double-digit scorers in addition to her fourth block of the campaign.
 
  • Yahzmynne Andrews denied her third field goal attempt of her Senior season and drained both of her freebies while DaKayla Howard contributed eight points along with five rebounds as well.

  • As of this writing, the Cats' next two opponents (both the same team) is currently the NAIA's 21st-ranked squad and one of the few undefeated teams left standing; the Xavier (Louisiana) Gold Nuggets; who the Orange and Blue will face Thursday night in New Orleans (5:30 p.m.) before hosting them on Saturday at 1 p.m. on-campus.
