Wildcats Top Performers:Â
Â
- Lucas Lima has had a monster week, scoring the lone LCU goal in the Red River Rivalry and then recording his second career multi-assist outing against USW.
Â
- When Sergio Pita Martin shoots, more times than not he scores, as the program's all-time goal leader tacked on another Thursday, sailing his one attempt into the goal on a penalty kick.
Â
- Victor Silva is on the scoreboard for the first time at a four-year institution, hammering home a goal in his second appearance for Coach Castillo 16 seconds prior to the halftime horn sounding.
Â
- A long scoreless drought of nine games finally came to an end for Shakeem Walters, lunging horizontal to the ground to head in the game-winning goal for his first points of any kind since the 2023 RRAC Semifinals. He logged a contest-best three shots, two on-goal.
Â
- Adrian Amoros Navarro made sure to keep his distance in the record books right where it was at the start of the day, finding paydirt just 9:03 into the ballgame while also getting off three shot attempts.
Â
- Tarika Abdala was credited with the assist on Silva's score, his first point of the year and second assist of his tenure.

Record Book Watch:
Â
Career
Â
- Lima can now lay claim as one of the three best wingmen in LCU history, notching his ninth and tenth career assists to tie with former teammate Alvaro Tudanca (2021-22) for third all-time.
Â
- Pita Martin scooched next to Lewis Lauve (2005-06, 2008) for a share of fourth in shots taken, each standing on 85 while Walters broke his deadlock with Tudanca regarding shots-on-goal, moving into sole possession of third among all players at 45.
Â
- Speaking of the two legends above, Martin is now deadlocked with a trio of those who came before him as kings of the PK goals as he collected his third Thursday while Walters escaped a logjam of third place occupants for game-winners, producing his fifth versus the Stangs to put him alone with the "bronze medal".
Â
Team
Â
- Improving to 4-1-2 already has the Wildcats sporting its seventh-highest win total in program history, with both ties adding an extra victory to the tally.
Â
- With a dozen assists now on the ledger, LCU pulled into a tie at #10 on the single-season list with the 2001 team while their second goal off of an opponent's penalty inside the box is good for fourth all-time.
Â
Game
Â
- Lima's multi-assist showing was the 21st time in the school's 462nd matchup that someone had put together two or more in 90 minutes of work.
