Generals Take Command Early To Defeat Wildcats

 
ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program struggled with a slow start in both matchups, ceding 13 of its 17 runs allowed in the opening two frames of the contests as LSU Alexandria earned the trophy outright with a pair of wins 11-1 in five and 6-2.

  • Lexie Marks was one of just two Wildcats with multiple hits, slapping a pair of RBI singles in game two, scoring Emma Hunt and Aralee Beene for the only two scores during the nightcap.
 
  • The other pair of knocks came off the bat of Olivia Coaker, going 2-for-2 in the opener and 2-of-5 (.400) overall for the evening.
   
  • Hunt stole the team's lone bag, walked once, and singled while Bella Houck drew a base on balls.
