Wildcats Top Performers:

  • Dauthier has been on a torrid streak with the stick, adding to it via a 5-for-7 (.714) afternoon that included a pair of doubles, RBIs, a run scored, and a walk.

  • Louviere was unhittable, literally, tossing five scoreless and hitless innings despite only one strikeout.

  • Carley Koch came on in relief of Louviere, finishing off the combined shutout.

  • Lexie Marks and Emma Hunt had nearly identical outings, each garnering three base knocks in six at-bats with two scores plus a walk while Marks added a bean ball to go along with two steals whereas Hunt registered a double.

  • Bella Houck might not have had as high of a batting average as her teammates (.375), but she was clutch time and time again as she drove in a Wildcat-best four RBI.

  • Brooke Ross put together her eighth complete game in her ninth start (14th appearance), hurling seven frames of two-run, no-walk softball, fanning more Bulldogs (5) than she allowed on the basepaths (4).

Next:

  • Easter weekend will be spent without any contests and surrounded by family before getting back to work on Tuesday when the Red River Rivalry resumes versus (RV) LSU Alexandria for a 5/7 p.m. showdown under the Wildcat Park lights.
