Â
PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program did not do much outside of the sixth inning in game one, but it was enough to topple the #21 William Carey Crusaders during the front half of the twin-bill, 4-2, before dropping the second tilt by a 10-0 score in five.
Â
The victory was just the second against a squad that sat among the NAIA's elite at first pitch since joining the Red River Athletic Conference before the 2022 campaign, with the other being a 6-5 walk-off win versus #24 Central Baptist on February 11, 2022 during the Generals Showdown.
Â
The aforementioned sixth frame of the first matchup saw the Wildcats account for all four of the day's runs, three of its six hits (50%), both of its extra-base knocks (back-to-back doubles) as well as their lone stolen base by pinch-runner
Hannah Harrison.
