Wildcats Top Performers:
- Olivia Coaker and Lexie Marks were the catalysts for the Wildcats offense on Sunday afternoon as each logged four hits as the former drove in three RBIs while the latter scored three times on top of a walk (Coaker) plus a steal (Marks).
- Miah Broussard went the distance in the opener, holding down the Red and Blue just enough for the dub, tossing seven innings of three-run ball and walking just one.
- Broussard also did some damage at the dish as she went 2-of-4 including a pair of singles.
- In the second tilt, Morgan Louviere earned the win to improve to 6-1 via six strikeouts in just three innings in which she allowed only a single hit before Brooke Ross collected the final nine outs as she was rewarded with her first career save in her 34th appearance.
- Jordan Dauthier is a catcher and she used it to advantage as a baserunner on Sunday, returning home to score a Wildcats-best five times.
- Alyssa Landry tied Coaker for the RBIs crown at three over six at-bats, Emma Hunt stole two bases, and Carley Koch registered a sacrifice fly to account for other notable performances.
Next:
- The ladies face a daunting week ahead beginning with the 21st-ranked William Carey Crusaders coming to Pineville on Tuesday at 3 and 5 p.m. before heading to San Antonio to face the #1 Our Lady of the Lake Saints as well as Texas A&M-San Antonio over the weekend.
