PINEVILLE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University athletics program will face the Wolfpack of Loyola University twice, once on the diamond and once on the courts, before the two roundball sports stop over in East Texas on Friday / Saturday.
   
A big potential resume boost looms for each side of Tuesday afternoon's mid-week baseball matinee when a receiving votes LU club storms into Pineville at 3 p.m. on-campus.
    
Softball will welcome an NAIA Independent, a.k.a. Continental Athletic Conference member, in the form of the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers on Wednesday with the first pitch of the doubleheader slated for 1:30 p.m.
   
Friday afternoon will be busy for Wildcats student-athletes of all facets as the Diamond Cats travel to Texas College for a twin-bill in Tyler with the times still to be announced.
 
Softball will only need to play twice this coming weekend, making the short drive to the border of Arkansas and Texas for a 1/3 p.m. start opposite the Eagles of Texarkana.
 
Finally, women's tennis hosts its final home match this year inside Richard L. Crowell Tennis Center as the schedule is currently constructed, when #14 Loyola arrives for an unusual 2:30 p.m. first serve.
   
While the doubleheader's times have yet to be posted, Saturday's game inside Ed Moore Field is tabbed for 1 p.m. as this could potentially be the game that Coach Byrnes reaches win #500 for his tenure at Louisiana College / Christian.
