Wildcats Top Performers:

  • Miah Broussard kept the home squad within close range from the time she came on facing a 3-0 hole at the beginning of the fourth in game one until the very end, silencing a potent Jaguars offense with four clean innings in which she struck out two and allowed a lone baserunner.

  • Jordan Dauthier was responsible for the Orange and Blue's only extra-base hit against Houston-Victoria, lacing a double as part of a 2-of-6 (.333) effort.

  • Alyssa Landry and Bella Houck also went 2-for-6 (.333) with a pair of singles as Houck's base knock with one out in the bottom of the seventh (game two) broke up a no-hit bid by Anyssia Mendoza, saving LCU from notching a zero in the hit column for the first time since February 23, 2021 versus Central Methodist.

  • Emma Hunt drew the club's solo base on balls over 14 offensively-challenged frames, reaching twice in total.
