COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Louisiana Christian University softball program played in one of the most competitive tournaments in the NAIA and came away with two wins over both Webber International (7-1) as week as Kentucky Christian (11-10), the latter being an epic comeback from down 10-3 with eight unanswered runs through the fifth and sixth innings.

Wildcats Top Performers:

- Bella Houck was LCU's representative on the NFCA Leadoff Classic's All-Tournament squad as she Named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament Team. She set career-highs of three RBIs in the win over the Warriors of WIU and was a defensive wizard with 11 putouts at first base. For the weekend, she led the Cats in batting average (.429), hits (6), RBIs (4) and slugging percentage (.857) in addition to three doubles, three runs scored, and a home run.

- BreAnna Corkern also swung a hot stick, going 6-of-16 (.375) with a team-best four doubles, the club's other long ball, and five ribbies.

- Katelyn Carpenter was spotless during her three frames of work, allowing just a single baserunner (on a walk) plus an unearned run, Morgan Louviere sported an ERA of 2.33 in addition to picking up a dub, and Brooke Ross had the other victory in the circle as she was a workhorse, hurling ten innings in which she struck out more batters (11) than baserunners surrendered (10) as the opposition hit a miniscule .216 against her.

- Alyssa Landry was the other hitter to get on-base consistently with five hits over 14 plate appearances (.357 average), Lexi Broussard was clutch when it mattered, driving home five runs batted in, and Karlie Stine was the definition of patience as she walked a squad-high four times with an additional three RBIs and her lone hit being a two-bagger.
