NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program went nearly three full months and 13 matches with at least one goal in each contest, but came up empty in the regular season finale at Xavier (Louisiana), falling 1-0 and possibly needing to hit the road for the Quarterfinals.

• Rodrigo Silva held off a strong XULA offense for the majority of the day, yielding just one goal on top of four saves.

 

• Tarik Abdala and Lucas Lima made up half of the squad's eight shots in the Big Easy, each player tallying two apiece and Abdala's being his first career multi-shot outing.

 

• Gunner Blanchard took just his second career shot-on-goal while Thiago Lopes had the other SOG for the visitors from Pineville.

 

• The duo of Juan Sierra and Pedro Sao Tiago rounded out the shot sheet as they collected one per student-athlete.

• All the Orange and Blue will need is just one corner kick in the RRAC Tournament to boast the most in school history, tying the record against Xavier with their 102nd.

 

• LCU jumped into third on the single-season shots list as a team on Saturday leaping past the 2013 club with 287.

• Barring the outcome of Saturday night's game between LSUA and North American, the guys will either be the #4 seed and host LSUA if the Stallions win, be the #5 seed and travel across town to the Generals if they tie, or make the long trek back to the Alamo City for another date with Texas A&M-San Antonio as the fifth seed if LSU Alexandria wins.
