ALEXANDRIA, La. – The Louisiana Christian University men's basketball program faced a last-minute venue change and a Texas A&M-San Antonio squad hungry for its first ever win, falling by a final of 80-70 in the "home" and RRAC opener on LSUA's campus.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Omarion Layssard had a huge evening, recording his first career double-double of 14 points and a personal/game-high 11 rebounds, five of which were on the offensive glass.
- Bryce Weinmunson was a two-way superstar, putting up 18 points courtesy of going 4-for-7 (57.1%) from deep, stealing seven Jaguars' passes, collecting four boards, and handing out a trio of assists.
- Devin Carter led the Cats in scoring for the fourth time in as many games, converting eight buckets (three treys) into 19 points while also setting up easy looks for his teammates three times for assists.
- Drew Tebbe got the starting nod and led all players with four dimes in addition to five points.
- Wiley transfer Chukwuemeke Nwaoshai tallied his first double-figure rebounding effort in the post, using his 6-foot-9 frame to corral ten rebounds (six offensive) as the Nigerian nearly had a double-double of his own with eight points, all in a span of 16 minutes off the pine.
