Gold Nuggets Trip Up Wildcats In Straight Sets

 
NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Christian University volleyball program went mining for Gold (Nuggets) and came away empty-handed on Saturday, dropping to 10-10 and 4-2 in the Red River Athletic Conference following a sweep at Xavier (Louisiana).

  • Emma Cother averaged 7.33 assists per set (22 total), dug up five balls on defense (1.67 p/s), and contributed her second multi-block affair of the year (2, 0.67 p/s).
 
  • Megan O'Neal (7, 2.33 p/s), Katie Spell (6, 2.00 p/s), and Mallory Wills (5, 1.67 p/s) made up 18 of the Cats' 26 kills (69.2%) on the day, Wills sported a stellar hitting percentage of .417 while adding a block to her line as well.
 
  • Leah Stamps was the club's dig leader versus XULA at eight (2.67 p/s) and Spell was close behind at seven (2.33 p/s).
