HAWKINS, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University women's basketball program were bitten by the turnover bug, committing a season-high 27, combined with its worst shooting night of the campaign (28.3%), was too much for the ladies to overcome in a 59-46 defeat against Jarvis Christian University.

Wildcats Top Performers:
- Jakiya Thompson led the Wildcats with a 2023-24-best three steals and contributed a contest-best five assists as well.
- Deja Tanks logged her second double-double in-a-row and fourth of the year on Thursday, picking up a game-most ten boards along with ten points as eight of her rebounds came off LCU misses.
- Princis Goff topped the team at 13 points in addition to tying for the steals lead with Thompson (3).
- Olivia Scott drained a pair of three-pointers, the lone player for Coach Phillips' squad to make more than one, en route to a solid 12 points and DaKayla Howard collected three field goals made and five rebounds, both her most of 2023-24 so far.
Notes:
- The defense picked up the slack with the uncharacteristic night from the offense, forcing a season-most 22 takeaways and surrendering a campaign-low 59 points in an effort to hold off the Bulldogs.
