Wildcats Hope To Feel Welcome In “The Jungle” Against Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. – The Louisiana Christian University women's soccer program will invade "The Jungle", otherwise known as the University of Mobile's home pitch, in search of one final non-conference dub before moving onto Red River Athletic Conference play.

(RV) Louisiana Christian Wildcats:
 
  • Thanks to its ten-goal assault on Williams Baptist, the Cats have the seventh-highest goal scoring average in the nation, scoring five times per game. The Orange and Blue are 18th in the NAIA regarding both shot percentage (.217) and shots a contest (23.0).
 
  • Zoi Arkirvaki was a wizard with the ball at her feet, scoring six points via a pair of goals and assists each against WBU, putting each of her shots past the keeper.
 
  • Lindsey Jacobs was the other Wildcat with a multi-goal outing, opening the season's scoring output before adding another later in the first half.
     
  • LCU is also yielding a miniscule 0.56 goals allowed average, which slots them in the top-30.
 
  • Jaycee Woods has been a revelation between the pipes for Coach Ayers, sporting a 0.81 GAA, eight saves, a 88.9% save percentage, and only one goal ceded.
 
Mobile Rams:
 
  • U of M has started their season strong, picking up victories vs. Millsaps, MUW, and Talladega, tying #18 Truett McConnell, and dropping a tight contest to LSU Alexandria.
 
  • The Rams have taken the 9th-most shots so far at 119 and the 19th-most corner kicks with 29.
 
  • Three ladies have found the back of the net more than once, led by Izzabella Payne (3), Bailey Bronner (2), and Andi Hughes (2) while three of the team's five assists are courtesy of Raegan Latiolais.
 
  • Juliana Gomez has been the primary goalie for UM, limiting the opposition to three goals over 359 minutes, an 84.2% save percentage, 16 saves, and a 0.75 GAA in addition to a complete game shutout under her belt.
