Cother & Spell’s Big Night Not Enough As Wildcats Fall To Rams

 
AUSTIN, Texas – The Louisiana Christian University volleyball program got sparkling outings from both Emma Cother as well as Katie Spell but after taking the first set the Cats dropped the final three in a 3-1 setback.

Wildcats Top Performers:
 
  • Emma Cother set a new career-high with 20 digs (5.00 p/s) in addition to 31 assists (7.75 p/s) for her ninth career double-double and third of the year.
 
  • Katie Spell also collected her third double-double of 2023 (fifth of her career) as she clubbed a match-most 11 kills to go along with 11 digs.
 
  • Leah Stamps nearly reached a double-figure assist total, instead settling for a new career-best of nine on top of being the lone visitor with multiple service aces (2).
 
  • Julie Bordeau contributed a season-high regarding both points (7) plus kills (5).
 
  • Kierra Jones went for a game-leading five blocks and has logged multi-block showings in all 11 contests.
 
Notes:
 
  • The Orange and Blue tallied its most blocks in an RRAC matchup this season, rejecting nine attack attempts.
 
  • Things were looking positive in the opening set as the Cats hit nearly .200 points higher than the Rams (.324 to .132).
