Â
(RV) Louisiana Christian Wildcats:
Â
- Louisiana Christian comes into the matchup with one of the more impressive resumes in the league after a lightning-shortened non-conference slate, nearly stunning the fifth-ranked Crusaders of William Carey on the road to begin the year before handling both Williams Baptist and Mobile with ease.
Â
- The Orange and Blue clad ladies boast one of the more prolific offenses in the country, averaging 4.33 goals per game, the ninth-highest scoring output among the entire NAIA.
Â
- Three student-athletes tout multiple goals as Zoi Arkirvaki leads all players with seven points, Emma Monnet is the veteran leader at six, and the workhorse Lindsey Jacobs recording five, all of which have a pair of scores.
Â
- While the offense has lit up the scoreboard, the defense has been even more dominant, allowing just one goal for a nearly nonexistent 0.36 goals against average.
Â
- The core of defenders included but not limited to RRAC Defensive Player of the Week Maryane Mafra, Aubrey Joslin, and Allie Kyle have formed a formidable wall in the opponents' attacking zone, limiting quality shot attempts to a minimum.
Â
- Behind the wall of defense sits a roadblock of a goalkeeper in Jaycee Woods, whose emergence into a star has taken the team to the next level with a .923 save percentage and 12 stops.
Â
LSU Alexandria Generals:
Â
- The visitors from across the river have won three times by a combined score of 16-2 but also lost their two games by a margin of six goals so it has been a very Jekyll and Hyde year for the Generals.
Â
- Alexia Bermejo has been unstoppable, averaging three points and one goal per game, scoring on five of her six (83.3%) on-target shots.
Â
- Remmie Ferla is right behind her, having put four goals through the posts for nine points while Carolina Quast makes exactly half of the shots she takes (3-for-6).
Â
- Three separate keepers have made starts for the Purple and Gold with Victoria Weber collecting a pair of wins on top of a shutout and Meike van Straten picked up the other victory in a shutout of her own.
