BATON ROUGE, La. – The Louisiana Christian University football program has collected its final offseason accolades from their historic 2023 campaign on Saturday afternoon as the trio of Devin Briscoe, Logan Brimmer, and Jacob Ganote were all named to the All-Louisiana Second Team while both Andre Reed and Pop McGhee wound up as Honorable Mentions after a collective vote from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
 Â
Briscoe, a graduate student running back from Cecilia, Louisiana, was an All-SAC First Team selection after accumulating the second-highest yards per carry in the NAIA (7.8) and top-25 marks for both rushing yards (989) plus rushing yards per game (89.9). The Nicholls transfer found paydirt nine times on the ground and twice as a receiver, leading the Sooner Athletic Conference in all-purpose yards at 1,196.Â

Brimmer, a senior defensive lineman from Boutte, Louisiana, was recognized as the SAC Defensive Player of the Year for his ninth-most sacks (9) and top-15 ranking tackles for loss (16.5) numbers among all qualified candidates, causing the opposition to lose a grand total of 128 yards in the process.Â
Ganote, a senior tight end from Montz, Louisiana, led the Wildcats with 30 receptions and finished second on the squad regarding receiving yards (413), touchdowns (4), and yards per game (41.3).Â
Reed, a senior outside linebacker from Basile, Louisiana, was All-Conference First Team and won SAC Defensive Player of the Week on September 4 after logging 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, seven tackles, and two quarterback hurries to keep the Border Claw Trophy firmly in Pineville for defeating East Texas Baptist. The heartbeat of the defense scored the first touchdown in the program's NAIA Football Championship Series debut on a 20-yard scoop and score fumble return and he compiled 15.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks plus a pick over the 11-game campaign.Â
McGhee, a junior defensive back from Opelousas, Louisiana, led the country in pass breakups at 16 as he has racked up honors all offseason including NAIA Second Team All-American, AFCA Second Team All-American, and VSN Second Team All-American on top of All-SAC First Team.Â
