KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Louisiana Christian University men's soccer program matched their single-game team record for scoring for the second time in a span of seven days with another eight-goal shutout over Texas College, coupled with the physical win over Jarvis Christian moved the men to 30th at a total tally of 42 votes.
Â
Head Coach
David Castillo's squad has dropped multiple goals on its past five adversaries and have pitched four shutouts over its six-match winning string.
Â
Adrian Amoros Navarro and
Sergio Pita Martin have been the foundation on which the dominant offensive machine has been built, recording 30 points, 11 goals, and eight assists between them while
Shakeem Walters has nine points all coming within the last five matches.
Â
The wall of defenders has been borderline impenetrable since the beginning of September yielding just a pair of goals as the backline of
Taylor Walker,
Lucas Lima,
Pedro Rivera and
Alejandro Aranda Molina have made successful shot attempts against keeper
Rodrigo Silva (17 saves, .895 save percentage in RRAC play) a rarity.
Â
Road trips to Texarkana (Thursday) and LSU Shreveport (Saturday) await the men with a chance to pad the resume even more as both kickoffs are slated for 3:30 p.m.
